The businesses and charities below have been supporting your student experience for years through paying to attend our fairs or sponsoring our events. In the absence of our usual fairs this year, we wanted to say thank-you to these companies and to share them with you so you can still find out about them and gain freebies/offers or even employment through them.
Lots of these are small local businesses who could really use some support at the moment. With that in mind, we’ve shown a way that you can support each of them. You don’t have to spend money to do this - whether it’s a follow on Instagram, signing up to a mailing list or sharing a post it will all help!
Domino’s are our faithful sponsors through thick and thin. Our partnership has over the years brought in lots of money in which helps to improve your student experience. It has brought in loads of free pizza too! They’ve got some great discounts that have been set up especially for you, our students, and you can check them out here.
Aparto Arbury Court have been providing our students with stylish and modern accommodation for years. They put an emphasis on social events to make sure that everyone has the chance to meet and chat with their neighbours. Check out the Aparto experience by giving them a follow on Instagram.
Athlete Mannies are ex-simmies who now run a business organising nannies for local families. They specialise in sporty nannies and so they employ a lot of St Mary's students as a result - it's flexible work which fits around you and it's also fun to do. You can find them here on Instagram - they're frequently hiring on there, so make sure you check their stories!
Be At One have been working with us since they opened in recent years to bring you loads of tasty cocktails and mocktails. All Bar One aren’t able to open at the moment, but for now you can support them by following them on Instagram so you’ll be up to date when they re-open. Do that by clicking here.
Camp America is a cultural exchange programme allowing you to work on a summer camp in the USA for the summer. It’s a brilliant opportunity, so give them a follow and start planning your dream summer - they're still. taking applications, and are monitoring the COVID situation closely.
Coople provide an app which helps you get work – you can find the app here, so make sure you download it to find some work and support them in future.
The George is a local pub in Twickenham – they’ve been sponsoring sports clubs for years now. It’s closed for the time being, but sign up to the Greene King mailing list to find out about offers for when they’re able to open.
Go Ape is an amazing day out – you might have seen them at previous Freshers’ Fairs if you were there. It includes ziplines, rope swings and loads more – their parks definitely aren’t for the faint-hearted! Check them out on Instagram here.
Host Students' One Penhryn Road is a brilliant accommodation right in the middle of Kingston with a games room and some really cool rooms – they've have been supporting us at Fairs for years now. Give them a follow on Instagram here to keep up with them and find out more.
iQ is a student accommodation just next to the riverside in Kingston – right where all the fun is with bars and restaurants on your doorstep. They’ve been supporting and housing St Mary’s students for a long time – find out more about them and give them a follow on Instagram here.
The Lyric Theatre run plays, shows and also great lessons in acting. If you’re particularly interested in that, make sure you head to their website here. You can also support them by following them on Instagram here, sharing their content and heading to a show when it’s safe to do so. They do student discounts, so you’re sure to get a good deal!
Nando’s have been supporting SUs up and down the country for years now – it wouldn’t be a freshers’ fair without them! You can find them on Deliveroo here.
The Orange Tree Theatre are located in Richmond – they run plays, shows and also training for aspiring actors, technicians and other theatre-based roles. You can support them by following them on Instagram and heading to a show when they re-open – they usually do student-priced tickets.
Polar Events run outdoor container bars at Twickenham and Harlequins Stadium and are always looking for staff to work these busy events. Give them a follow on Instagram so you receive the latest updates on when they will be recruiting for bar work again.

Pryzm Kingston is one of the biggest clubs in the country and Simmies have been frequenting it for years. They can't wait to get back to business and we can't wait either - while we wait for that to happen, make sure you give them a follow here so you're all ready for when they can open again!
The RFU have been giving our students work for years – they’ve been visiting our Freshers’ Fair for a long time now. You can find them on Instagram here, so make sure you’re following!
Sporting feet are a brilliant sports and running-focused shoe shop who can help you pick out the equipment you need. They've also been employing St Mary’s staff for a long time now. You can find their website and contact form here, so get in touch if you're looking for work and they might be able to help you out - their Richmond store is closed, but they’re still open online at the moment if you’re in the market for new shoes too.
Holidays might seem like they’re a long way away, but there’s no harm in doing some planning for when things open up again! Tru Travels organise amazing group trips to Asia, South America and more. Follow them on Instagram here.
ViBe have partnered with SMSU at countless Freshers’ Weeks, Summer Balls and West London events over the years. Their Kingston location is great for getting to St Mary’s and they’ve got a brilliant downstairs area for socialising which features a gym, table tennis, a cinema and loads more. The Viper Rooms has been the home of Wednesday nights at St Mary's for so long now, and it will forever hold a place in our hearts and those of countless Simmies and alumni alike.
