It's Never OK

The need for this campaign is probably very clear to those who have witnessed or been the victim of sexual assault or harassment. However, for those who may not be as aware, there is a growing culture whereby incidents of harassment and assault are becoming increasingly common and normalised.

We want to bring attention to making students aware that any form of assault and harassment is never ok. The aims of this campaign are:

  • To work with you, our students, to create a culture that does not accept any form of assault or harrasment or assualt
  • To ensure education around consent is available and actively highlighted by the Student's Union and student's are provided with clear signposting to training and support
  • To provide spaces for students to bring forward these issues and to be a vocal in driving the union forward in how these issues are dealt with

If you have been a victim of sexual misconduct of any kind or you’ve witnessed this, click here for a full list of options you have at this time and for an explanation of what the University and your Union can do for you.

Domestic abuse has been on the rise during the COVID Pandemic, but if you're experiencing it there is a way to discretely get help. If you go to a pharmacy and ask for 'Annie', they'll be able to help you out by offering a private space, giving a phone and asking if you need assistance from the police or domestic abuse support services.
