SU Council

St Marys' Students' Union Council is a body of students who come together at least 3 times per year to discuss and propose policy and changes to the Students' Unoin and the university.  This is the main decision-making body of SMSU and has a major influence on the big developments within the university community.  You can also get involved with SU Council online, so look out for opportunities coming up this term.

Dates for SU Council in 2018/19 are as follows (meetings begin at 4pm):

Meeting 2: 14 March 2019

Meeting 3: Annual General Meeting 25 April 2019

The deadine to submit a 'motion' to council is one week before the day of the next council at midday.   Any motions submitted after the deadline will be debated at the next SU Council, however you may submit a motion as an emergency motion with reasonings for why the motion should be debated sooner even if it was submitted late.  The chair and deputy chair of SU Council will decide if an emergency motion should be debated.
