Hello everyone! My name is Conal Baxter and I’m your Students’ Union President. My job is 
to ensure that you have the best possible student experience at St Mary’s. This involves 
looking after your academic, welfare and representational needs as well as making sure 
that your voice is heard by the University. I run campaigns that tackle real student issues,

Tim Rogers

Vice-President Community

Hey everyone! I’m Tim Rogers and I am your Vice-President Community for the 
forthcoming year. You can find me in the ‘Fishbowl’ on the first floor of the Students’ 
Union in J Building where I'll be busily organising events for you including Welcome 
Fortnight, RAG Week, the Christmas Community Festival, the Summer Ball and our 
Boat Party. Alongside these events, I’ll be in charge of community development both on 
and off campus. So if you have any ideas on how we can help our local community both

Jess Carey

Vice-President  Sports and Societies

Hi! My name is Jess Carey, your new Vice-President of Sports and Societies. My job is 
to develop sports clubs and societies at St Mary’s with the support of the new 
committee structure and strategy. I will also be responsible for organising the annual 
SMSU ski trip, both of the Sports Clubs’ and Societies’ Awards Dinners and winning back the 
Varsity trophy for St Mary’s from Brunel! I would highly recommend getting 
involved in everything that your Students’ Union has to offer. We provide a massive variety 
of different competitive and recreational sports, and there‘s a really great selection of
