Our Research

Throughout the year, we carry out a range of surveys and campaigns to ensure that we are listening to the voice of our students and use the findings to lobby for change.

The Dyslexia focus groups were run as part of the Dyslexia Awareness Week campaign in October 2022.

The Simmie Safety survey was carried out as part of Simmie Safety Week in November 2022. The aim of this survey was to understand how safe students feel on campus and to use the findings from this survey to lobby for a safer campus.

In partnership with the University, we asked students their views about campus space to ensure the new student space (SU Lounge and Bar) met the students' expectations.

As part of his manifesto, George (your Education President) carried out the Online Lecture Capture survey to understand students' views on this so that he could use the findings to lobby for change.

The Cost of Living survey was carried out to identify the issues faced by students due to the ongoing Cost of Living crisis. The findings from this survey will be used to help students through this crisis and to lobby for change with the help of the University.
