We've had some questions about the official photos for graduation, so we've got in touch with the Registry department who are organising the event. They've given us the explanation below!
"Photographs are organised by a company called Success Photography. There is a link to their website on at www.smuc.ac.uk/graduation - you need to head to that and then select the photography and merchandise tab. There is then a link to Success’ website.
Students have a choice of booking the photo appointment in advance, or they can queue on the day. Where possible it is probably advisable to book in advance to make the day as smooth as possible, but this is their choice. The website shows them the different packages that are available.
On the day, the graduands (students) collect their gowns at the Cathedral and can then have the photos taken before or after the ceremony depending on if/when they book and how busy it is. The gowns and the photography are in separate buildings on the Cathedral site and there will be plenty of marshals to point them in the right direction. There is also a map included in the ‘On the Day’ document we have posted at the official St Mary's website."
We hope that this helps!
