We're really excited to host Claire Harvey for the next St Mary's Values Talk. Claire Harvey is a Diversity and Inclusion Expert and Ex-Paralympian with a hugely inspiring story to tell - we know that this inspiration is something we know everyone could use at this point.

She was part of the GB women's national sitting volleyball team and is now a track and field athlete for Great Britain. She competed at the 2012 London Paralympics as their captain too, which she'll elaborate on in this talk.

Not satisfied with just the one successful athletic career, in 2015 she switched sports to compete in track and field athletics. She competed at the 2015 IPC Athletics World Championships in Doha where she came fourth in the shot putt and eighth in the javelin throw. She had to deal with bitter disappointment along the way though - although  she qualified in the discus for the Great Britain team for the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio, she was forced to withdraw from the team due to injury.

During the Values Talk Claire will discuss Developing Personal Excellence, which she's demonstrated in spades throughout her career. At a time like this we could all use some of the inspiration that we know Claire will give. Click here to sign up to watch this talk - Claire will be speaking from 12-1pm on Monday 9 November.
