IMPORTANT - The West London Varsity
Following the UK Government’s advice to avoid gatherings, pubs, clubs and other social venues and after extensive discussions with Brunel University, we have had to cancel the West London Varsity 2020.
The decision to cancel this event has not been taken lightly - it’s one of our biggest and most important events of the year as a union, but the scale of it is precisely why we need to exercise this level of caution. 1500-2000 usually attend, and they travel in from a wide radius - it would be irresponsible of us to allow it to go ahead in the current climate.
As your Union, we will always choose to prioritise your safety and that of those around you over anything else - and we know that Brunel’s Union are in agreement on this.
All tickets will be refunded. We are aiming to get all online Varsity refunds paid back to you by Monday 30 March. If you brought you ticket from office you need to fill in a form to claim your refund. The form is can be found here. Once your form has been received payment should be back in your account within 5 working days.
If you paid for a combined Varsity and Sports Dinner ticket you will be refunded £20. As things stand, the Sports Dinner (and the Societies Awards Dinner) are still going ahead and we’ll keep you updated if there are any changes with this.
