In Memory of Jason Arday
St Mary’s Students’ Union is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Jason Arday, a much-loved and valued member of the St Mary’s University community.
Jason was elected as St Mary’s Students’ Union Athletics Union President in 2008–09. During his time in office, he played an instrumental role in establishing the multi-sport Varsity event between St Mary’s and Brunel University, which has since grown into the West London Varsity.
Today, the West London Varsity brings students together through sport, competition and community. Jason’s contribution to its beginnings remains an important part of the history and legacy of St Mary’s Students’ Union, and we are grateful for the lasting impact he made during his time with us.
We extend our deepest condolences to Jason’s family, friends and loved ones. Our thoughts and prayers are with them at this incredibly difficult time.
