We need a vape recycling bin on campus.
Most students and staff toss their used vapes into the green recycling bins, thinking they are doing a good thing. In fact, those bins are only for items like glass, cardboard, and aluminum. Vapes contain chemicals and battery acid, which can leak out into our water supply and damage wildlife. They need to be recycled in an appropriate container, designated specifically for them.
The Shannon Corridor (Ref corridor) has great visibility and accessibility for both students and staff and would be the perfect spot to have one. Also, students who tend to toss their vapes on the ground or leave them on tables may be more inclined to recycle them if they were given the option.

This a great idea - however, there seems to be ongoing issues with recycling on campus (see petition on fake recycling bins). I am skeptical the university would back this idea, as currently most recycling goes to general waste anyway. Once the underlying problem of housekeeping is resolved, I think this could work. Would be interesting to see if other universities have tried this; they all have disposals for cigarettes, why not vapes.
