Richmond AID is a charity run by and for disabled people in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames and surrounding areas. We support people of all ages with all disabilities, including physical and sensory impairments, mental health issues and learning difficulties. Our aim is to support disabled people to live independent lives and to have the same opportunities as non-disabled people.

This service is for young people with disabilities or additional needs aged between 14-17 years and living in the Richmond or Kingston boroughs. BuddyUp works by matching young people up with their own young volunteer (‘buddy’) and aims to enable young people to increase independence and confidence through travelling and getting out and about more in their community. And of course it’s about having fun and building a friendship!
