Ever wondered why it looks like there's a Gothic castle on campus? That's because there IS – it’s the wonderful Strawberry Hill House, built by Horace Walpole in 1698.
As part of Reconnect Week, we're offering a few lucky students the chance to peek inside the castle and discover some of its Gothic delights. In addition to a tour, you will be one of the first to see an incredible painting, restored from hundreds of years ago...and hear some of the dramatic stories behind it! You will then be led in an art class where you will have the chance to use various materials to recreate your own version of the portrait - and keep your masterpieces! Please note this experience will also include free refreshments.
To join this class, just buy this ticket and meet outside the shop in the garden at Strawberry Hill House at 4pm.
