Then on the 11th November at 8pm we will be hosting a lecture followed by a zoom Q&A with William Tyler Smith. Billy is a fiction/documentary filmmaker, still photographer and teacher at NYFA. He has had a short film premiere at the TriBeCa Film Festival amongst many other international film festivals. He has directed five feature films and numerous short films. Billy’s lecture will be a subtextual and visual story analysis of the first 15 minutes of ‘The Graduate’. His website is https://www.williamtylersmith.com.
Both of these events will be free for members of the Filmmaking Society and £5 for non-members. Anyone can attend, so please feel free to pass on this information to anyone you think would be interested. We will be asking attendees to research Lanre and Billy beforehand and to come prepared with questions. There are trailers for Lanre’s movies on his website and lots of info on Billy’s websites about his projects.
Please remember that these are respected industry professionals. Inappropriate questions are not allowed under any circumstances. Inappropriate behaviour will result in you being removed from the zoom call without refund and you will not be allowed on future Q&A’s.
