Post COVID-19 restrictions: increase of student-student interactions, activities, events.
Make students more aware of the SU - come in raise a concern and leave it to me!>
Being the Student Governor, will allow me to represent our student’s perspectives across all board meetings allowing for effective implementation of my aims!
Being the Chair for societies is not only sitting on it, but to stimulate a very forgotten aspect of campus life!
Committee/volunteers not getting enough support. Society awards don't get the attention they deserve! - compared to sports.
Looking ahead to the next academic year, freshers' needs can be a throwback to 2018/19! A massive success and something that can be emulated!
There are small groups of ‘forgotten’ students who miss out on the extraordinary ‘University life experience’ & need to be integrated into OUR COMMUNITY (Commuters, PG students, exchange students).
Increase communication between senior residents and SMSU. Hard work being done behind the scenes can sometimes go unrecognized.
As your Student Life President (SLP) my role will also entail the upkeep and maintenance of high standards when it comes to the welfare of my students.
Implementing campaigns and raising awareness on many issues for example: Implicit bias, representation, spirituality/faith, mental health.
Networking is key! Open door to listen to students! I believe firmly in the principles LISTEN, UNDERSTAND AND VALIDATE #LUV.
Our students deserve this after such uncertainty, fear, and unrest.
And much much more!!! …
