Finance & Funding 💷

All societies are allocated their own account when they affiliate with SMSU. This account is where your society funding is held securely and it’s also where your membership fees go.  

If you want to run an activity or event, but don’t have enough money in your account, you can apply for a grant which is awarded to your society by SMSU. To apply for a grant, you just need to complete this form but make sure to include an itemised budget, or we can’t award any funding!

You can request an update on your society balance by emailing smsu.societies@stmarys.ac.uk. 

You can also buy items for your society and then get reimbursed (assuming that you have money in your account!). To do this, please complete this form.
