Start a new society 🎉

Here’s how you can set up your very own society!  

Every Society requires at least a President and Treasurer on the committee and a minimum of 4 members (4 excluding committee, 6 total with committee minimum)

  1. Complete the New Society Proposal Form
  2. Your Student Life President decides on society approval  
  3. Meet with the SMSU team to find out how Your SU can support you 
  4. Fill in the Your Societies Affiliation Form 
  5. Attend Society Training

Adopt a Society 🤲

Your Societies are looking for a new committee! 

Do you fancy adopting a society? Then get in touch! If you want to build your leadership skills, plan awesome activities and have fun while doing it – we want to hear from you!

We're looking for people that can take over running the society when the committee leaves and you’ll receive full support from SMSU. For more information and to let us know if you're interested, drop an email to smsu.societies@stmarys.ac.uk.
