Join The 1850 Bar Crew!

The 1850 is operated by St Mary’s Students’ Union and exists to make student life better at St Mary’s University. As the heart of campus, it provides a space for students to socialise, meet friends, take part in events and build communities.

We are looking to expand our bar team ready for the new academic year, who will play key role in making that happen.

The role is about much more than serving drinks. You will help in:

• Running the venue and ensuring its smooth day-to-day operation
• Supporting bookings and events such as Karaoke and Bingo
• Maintaining excellent cleaning and hygiene standards
• Receiving deliveries, completing opening and closing duties, and maintaining the cellar.

Previous bar experience is useful, but not essential. We are looking for people who are reliable, approachable and hardworking, and who genuinely care about delivering a great service and experience for our students.

This role is paid at £12.47 per hour.
